to take effect on Wednesday, July 25th
|FR. BERNARD HEALY: Bishop Ray has announced that Fr Bernard Healy will be concluding his appointment as Curate here in St John's on Wednesday 25th July so that he can take up further studies in Rome this autumn. His willingness to serve the community and his attention to detail has meant that Fr Bernard has been a tremendous asset to the parish for the past 6 years and he will be missed. As he will be staying in the Tralee area before he begins his studies, there will be the opportunity for a Parish farewell in September. We wish him every blessing and joy as he takes up his new assignment.|
FR. SEÁN JONES: We welcome Fr. Seán who was ordained on Sunday July 1st in The Church of the Assumption, Moyvane. Fr. Seán is from Moyvane and attended Tarbert Comprehensive School. Following his degree in Theology as a lay student in Maynooth, he joined the Pallottines. Fr. Seán moved from the Pallottines to the Diocese of Kerry in 2013 and his diaconate formation and ministry was facilitated in the parishes and pastoral areas of Listowel and Killarney.
While repairs to the main doors and porch are carried out access will be through the two small doors at the front of the church. The church will remain open as normal.
Bishop Ray Browne invites applicants interested in formation to become Permanent Deacons in the Diocese of Kerry. At present, five Deacons are in ministry in various parishes of the diocese and one man is in formation and due to be ordained as Deacon later this year.
