FR GERARD FINUCANE: Fr Gerard has been appointed Parish Priest of Waterville from Wednesday July 22nd. We wish him every blessing and joy in his new ministry.
Fr Gerard has served St John’s Community with huge dedication, energy and great care. He has been a steadying influence on parishioners and priests, with his humour and his ability to offer a wider perspective on life. His ministry is much influenced by his time in South America and U.S.A. His gifts are experienced in the way he presides at Eucharist, he gathers the community around the Table of the Lord in a prayerful and dignified way.
We will miss Fr Gerard. The people of Waterville will be truly blessed by his presence.

FR. KEVIN SULLIVAN: Fr Kevin has been appointed Parish Priest of Milltown. We also wish Fr Kevin every blessing in his new ministry. Fr. Kevin has been chaplain to IT Tralee and has assisted at weekends in St John’s Parish as well as organising and leading the annual Camino pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela. We thank Fr Kevin for his dedication and commitment to this pilgrimage which is close to his heart, and for his pleasant, easy-going presence amongst us. We will also miss Kevin but Milltown community will benefit greatly.

FR. MARTIN SPILLANE: of the Chaplaincy Department in Kerry General Hospital is also on the move—he has been appointed Administrator in Adrigole. Our best wishes go to Fr. Martin in his new ministry.

20150708 0042This weekend we welcome Br. Damian Polly OP, a deacon from the Dominican Order who is here in Tralee for a month as part of his formation for the priesthood. Br. Damian will be part of the Holy Cross Dominican Community and will be undertaking pastoral work in St. John’s parish.

Rather than read about the Holy Father's Encyclical 'Laudato Si', why not read the document itself?
