St. John’ Parish TY Youth Group

We are inviting YOU to be part of St. John’ Parish TY Youth Group for the academic year 2021-22. This will be to third year of our youth programme which has been an outstanding success to date. This year we have 10 people receiving the Pope John Paul II awards.

What will I be up to?
This past academic year our Youth Group have been involved in a wide range of activities even through the various Covid Lockdowns! We met each week on Fridays at 7pm – 8.30pm where we chatted, played games together and also undertook the Youth Alpha Programme. Aside from our weekly meetings we also engaged in a wide variety of parish activities such as the Mobile Crib at Christmas, we helped to deliver a Confirmation Programme to Sixth Class pupils in January, we organised an event at Easter, went on a pilgrim walk to Fenit on Feast of St. Brendan in May, and finally over the Summer trained as Youth Ambassadors offering guided tours of the 2 St. John’s Churches here in Tralee. We are also given opportunities to help with any of the Children’s ministry groups in our parish.
